The Access Fund is
a national, non-profit organization dedicated to keeping climbing areas open
and to conserving the climbing environment.
The American Alpine Club
was founded in 1902 and is the leading national organization in the United
States devoted to mountaineering, climbing, and the multitude of issues facing
climbers.
The American Safe Climbing
Association (ASCA) returns classic climbing routes to their
original danger level by replacing deteriorating old fixed anchors, usually
bolts, with modern camouflaged gear. We do not add bolts to make climbs
"safer." Climbing is inherently extremely dangerous. The ASCA has replaced over
4000 old bolts to date including many at Red Rocks and many other areas
throughout the U.S., mostly in the western states.
