Returns & Exchanges: Satisfaction guaranteed on every purchase
We guarantee every product we sell. If a product does not meet your expectations during its useful life, we promise to repair it, replace it or give you a refund.
Items may be returned if new, clean and in original packaging and with all labels and tags included. Weight-bearing climbing equipment is not returnable.
You may return items by filling out the form on the back of your invoice or by downloading the Returns Form. Basically, we want to know:
- If all of your contact information(name, email, address, phone #) is correct
- Your order # and customer #
- Why the item didn't work for you (fit, color, etc)
- If you are requesting a refund or an exchange
- If you are requesting an exchange, please tell us the item #, size and color of the new item
- Which credit card we should credit (refund) or charge (if a balance is due on an exchange)
Always keep a copy of your invoice for your own records. If you are returning footwear or anything in a packaged box, wrap the box so no labels are put directly onto the cardboard. Once you've completed the Returns Form, send your package via a trackable shipping method (UPS, FedEx, USPS with Delivery Confirmation) to:

Please note that items MUST be cleaned prior to being returned. Dirty items - for return, exchange or warranty - will be returned to you or assessed a $5 cleaning fee.
Refunds:
Mountain Gear will issue a refund to your credit card for the purchase price of the item(s) only. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Exchanges:
We'll pay for ground shipping to get your new items to you, and we'll either refund or charge you the difference in the price of the item.
Warranties:
Items returned for warranty will be assessed to determine if the item will be repaired, refunded or replaced, and this decision is at the discretion of Mountain Gear. All items must be cleaned before returning. Dirty items will be returned to you or assessed a $5 cleaning fee. We will contact you regarding the status of your warranty.
If you ever have a question on anything you bought from us, please let us know. If you're not happy, we're not happy.

Back Orders
Most orders ship within 1 business day. However, there are times that certain products are not available. Back Ordered items are not charged to your credit card until they ship from our warehouse, though orders paid by check are paid in full. If we have not shipped your back order within 30 days, we will notify you prior to shipping. Mountain Gear will pay the ground freight on back orders when more than one item is ordered.
Special Orders
Mountain Gear will place special orders with our vendors from time to time. Although we can not promise delivery dates or availability of an item, we are very skilled in obtaining specific items. Simply email us with as much information as possible, and we'll get back to you.
International Shipping Instructions
Including Canada, APO, FPO, & US Territories. You may order from the website or you may telephone 509.340.1165, fax 509.325.3030 or email your order to: sales@mountaingear.com. Be sure to include a telephone number and/or an email address with your order so that we may contact you if necessary. Payments may be made by credit card, bank to bank wire transfer, money orders and certified checks drawn on US Funds, or personal checks (Canada, APO, FPO, US Territories only). When placing your first order with Mountain Gear, we may require payment by wire transfer. All freight charges, taxes and duties are the responsibility of the purchaser. We ship via an International Air Carrier appropriate for your country (except all APO and FPO which ship via US Postal Service). If you specify postal delivery Mountain Gear will not be responsible for lost or damaged packages. A complete address must accompany each order as Mountain Gear will not refund freight charges on undeliverable packages that are returned to us.
International Back Orders: All International orders with any back ordered items will be held until complete to avoid unnecessary freight charges to the customer. If an item is no longer available it will be canceled from your order and you will be notified.
International Shipping Rates: Certain countries may have higher rates than those listed below. If this is the case with your order, we will contact you. Should you require other shipping arrangements, please contact Mountain Gear by telephone, fax, or email.
