Description:
Climb tough with the La Sportiva Venom rock shoe's innovative XS Web Rubber upper that helps you stick to flat faces and narrow holds. Features:

  • Edge, smear, and toe hook with the Vibram XS Grip Web Rubber upper and sticky Vibram XS Grip Rubber sole
  • Plenty of power is focused in the toe box thanks to the asymmetrical, down-turned PD85 last
  • Your arches are supported by the light, thin, yet torsionally rigid fiber-laminate Laspoflex midsole that allow for plenty of sensitivity

Specifications:

  • Upper: leather / Vibram Web rubber
  • Lined: no
  • Outsole: 3.5 mm Vibram XS rubber

Fit true to width
Pros:
Lightweight, Rugged
Best Uses:
Bouldering, Climbing Gym, Trad Climbing

Comments about La Sportiva Venom Rock Shoe - Unisex:

I like this shoe for bouldering. I think it would also be good for trad climbing. I've had difficulty getting mine to stretch out. They work well on small edges, as well as steep roofs. Fit my foot perfectly with no dead space. Love the rubber toe for toe-hooking.

Good shoes, but they stretch a lot
By TomVerified Buyer from Oxford, OH on 2/21/2006
Pros:
Comfortable, Exceptional on cracks/small holds, Good grip
Cons:
Spider webbing on the shoe, Stretches too much, The heel could be better
Best Uses:
Ideal for those "hard" boulder problems

Comments about La Sportiva Venom Rock Shoe - Unisex:

This is my first experience with anything from La Sportiva, but it has been a good one. I'm a size US 12.5, so i ordered the euro 44, thinking the size drop would be good since they would probably stretch a little. Beware, these do stretch A LOT! I could barely put them on when I first got 'em in the mail, and now I'm complaining that I should've gone to a smaller size. This also could be the fact that I've only had MadRock shoes before, so I wasn't experienced with La Sportiva.

These shoes are a dream for hard problems with lots of tiny foot holds, since they stick to anything. the only REAL complaint I have thus far is the heel isn't very useful to me, since i've been spoiled with the triple lipped heel on the Madrock Hooker Velcros. The rubber webbing on the top of the shoe works quite well for the toe hooks when climbing upside down. Overall, a good shoe, but I would be hesitant to buy another pair, given the price.
