I'm serious i really don't think its wool. it doesn't itch. it doesn't wrinkle. it somehow keeps me perfectly warm or perfectly cool. the added zipper does help with temp control. though it does feel a bit flimsy. the cut is perfect. I'm one of those guys who has orangutan arms and a big chest but this shirt does me well.

Service & Delivery comments:

my delivery was prompt. just that everything had been missed labeled in the package. i had ordered a medium zip tee what i got was a medium crew but the outside sleeve said it was a zip. weird. i had also ordered a blue water rope the 10.2 eliminator that had the correct labeling and such. just when i looked at the rope its self it was a 10.5 accelerator rope. just a bit of a difference. but i called mountaingear and i explained to them what happened we both found it funny and they took care of everything so i had a little more down time than what i had planned for but thats something that can happen when ordering online.

I am in love with wool and this Smartwool lightweight zip does not disappoint. It's light weight is perfect for the spring - I've worn it cycling in 40-70 (F) weather and never felt better. It keeps you cool when it's hot, just pull up the sleeves and unzip the front. If the temps drop, simply zip up and you are warm all over. I swear, the fabric knows when to keep you warm and when to cool you off. Do they weave the sheep's brain in there somewhere? Smartwool makes great products, well worth the money.

Wore this shirt while winter backpacking in the Smokeys on Mt. LeConte. It kept me warm when needed, wicked moisture very well, and is a great all round shirt. I'll be buying more Smartwool items in the future. Pricey, but worth it. It costs twice as mich as capeline, but doesn't smell after sweating in it.
Great piece of outdoor clothing. I hear Patagonia will be coming out with their own version of merino wool wear soon. I can't wait.

I have had multiple Smartwool items before and bought this for a gift for my fiance. He has left Patagonia brand products for good after this one shirt, and has used it for all athletic pursuits lately. We are both hardcore mountaineers and backpackers in summer and Smartwool items are great for thier light weight and breathability.
