Description:
The ARCTERYX Beta AR Pants offer you lightweight, breathable and waterproof peace of mind through four seasons of mountain exploration thanks to GORE-TEX Pro Shell fabric. Great for backpacking or climbing with powder cuffs to block out snow and side zips that make layering and venting quick and easy.

Features:

  • Fully waterproof, the Tiny Gore seam-taped GORE-TEX Pro Shell 3-layer fabric is reinforced in the knees and seat, yet still incredibly lightweight
  • When high-stepping and stretching, the articulated knees and seat and gusseted crotch stay out of your way
  • Personalize your fit with the adjustable nylon belt and front fly
  • Strap on your harness or pack - the side zippers stop short of rubbing against your hips
  • Sharp rocks and crampons won't thrash your gear - Keprotec instep patches protect your pants
  • Seal out the cold and snow with the laminated powder cuffs with gripper elastic and lace hook and adjustable cuff shock cords
  • Store your chap stick or keys in the single hip stash pocket
  • Keep every single drop of water out - molded Zipper Garages and WaterTight zips don't let anything through

Specifications:

  • Weight: 1 pound
  • Inseam: 28.5 inches
  • Waterproofing: GORE-TEX Pro Shell
  • Fabric: 380-denier ripstop nylon
  • Reinforcement fabric: 480-denier nylon

Even better than the last pair I bought; they've added a 'snow cuff' and keep the original design and quality materials.

Comments about Arcteryx Beta AR Pant - Men's:

After trying many different gore-tex pants these were head and shoulders the best, from the articulated knees to the gusseted crotch it doesn't get any better. The pants are light enough to pack, just in case the conditions turn raw, yet durable enough to handle anything that Mother Nature can throw at you, right down to the reinforced knees and seat. And if things heat up during a difficult climb, the fully weatherproof legs zips allow for the needed ventilation. I intend to use them on my next climb on Kilimanjaro because I believe they will take me form the rain forest below to the glacier on top.

Comments about Arcteryx Beta AR Pant - Men's:

My biggest complaints with other pands has been abrasion resistance, waterproof, bulk, and ease for getting in and out. These pants don't have these problems. Very durable, and provide great protection. They are easy to get in an out of even with heavy boots. I've used them all over the Alaskan Bush including: Glaciers, Mountains, and in the woods.

Comments about Arcteryx Beta AR Pant - Men's:

Wow.... I thought Proshell was bunk but compared to other 3layer fabrics I've worn these are amazing. They breath great move well and are durable in all of the right places. Arcteryx did a fantastic job on these pants. I have been a softshell pant fan for some time and picked these up for winter use, I think they are now my go to pant! I was worried that they would be too tight but I sized up compared to more freeride styles from Arcteryx and they ended up perfect. I'll use a L in their freeride collection and XL in their alpine collection. I do wish they had a few more pockets, or even if the single pocket on the right was bigger.
