I currently work in Kabul, Afghanistan and puchased this item specifically to wear under my kit while outdoors. As you can imagine at 6,000 feet it gets pretty cold but because of my profession I must choose clothing that fits snug to the body with little bulk. This item works perfectly for this dry climate when the wind is not blowing and the temperature is above freezing. You could probably go a little colder if you wore a base layer.

I like this fleece style jacket a lot. I'm wearing it while writing this review in fact. It's comfortable, warm, and nice looking. It got fuzzy pretty quickly though. Maybe it was the way I washed it or what I washed it with. For instance, don't put anything with velcro in the wash/dryer with this jacket. But, with proper care it's a fantastic jacket. It's a little heavy so not for the light and fast trips, but great for camping and general outdoor recreation. Or just wearing around town.

I've only had this jacket about two weeks, but I love it. It is very stylish and looks like a sweater on the outside, but the inside is plush fleece. Very, very comfortable and warmer than you would guess. I suspect it would work well for layering, although it hasn't been cold enough for me to try yet. I would highly recommend it, and I might just buy another in a different color.

I bought this jacket to layer underneath my raingear. I was looking for something that was would provide warmth while still allowing my outer layer to perform correctly. I have found this jacket to work very well. I have also used it as a standalone garment for early fall weather. The fabric is able to withstand some light wind but is still highly breathable. I would recommend this only as a layering garment or to use with mild weather. It works well and looks good to.

I was quite happy with my 2008 Covert Cardigan at first, until I noticed the outer textured fabric was piling rapidly after only one month. It's possible to clean it up with a fabric shaver, but for the price I was disappointed in the quality. I do still wear mine frequently though.

Wow. This cardigan is great. I hesitated spending the money on this but I am sure glad I did. It looks great, is warm and so very comfortable! It is one of my favorite things to wear.
