This is a casual use vest, tho as an inside layering piece it gets more serious. No hem cinch chords reduce the functionality for serious use. I got "Raisin" discontinued color and have grown to like it especially since acquiring the matching covert head beanie to wear in tandom.It's not worth the list price of [$]; I got it on sale for half and since they didn't have a large, I tried a medium and that was perfect; this is why I say ,if in doubt,size down unless you always use it over heavy fleece and sweaters. At the most, I wear over two thin thermal shirts. To repeat, it's growing on me, but it's too pricey at list.

This vest goes everywhere from a layer on a ski trip to a casual day at work over a button down shirt. The branding is subtle, only having a symbol in the lower corner, so it is work appropriate. You will get a lot of use out of this vest. Arcteryx quality all the way.
