I've owned the Delta AR for about 3 years now, and I owe it a good review. It has held up great, the super thick fleece is pound for pound one of the most insulative layers I know of, and it doesn't compress and lose it's properties like down. The jacket is very breathable and on a moderate day I wear it fully unzipped, then if the wind is kicking or it's very cold I can wear it under a shell and the combination takes you into the 20s, probably colder if you're moving. Last, it's super light! The kids at my youth group like to pet it, and it's not a sports jacket replacement but it's the cats meow for function.

This jacket was to replace my Delta AR fleece jacket that was about 10yrs old. That jacket had an outside chest pocket on the right side large enough to hold a quart water bottle. That was a genius arrangement because you could keep your bottle warm and still have easy access to the left chest storage pocket on the Arc'Teryx Theta jacket. The new model has a small inside pocket on the left side - great for an iPod. Moving the inside pocket to the right would make me a lot happier.

The new model has hand warmer pockets which I have yet to use and the old model did not. Both are cut trim and the sleeves stay put with your arms up.

The waist cinch cord is better and the neck seal is a huge step forward. The old model had stretch side panels and I found I got a little cold. The new model has fleece there. The new model's fleece seems to have a larger temp range. It's fine from 15 - 35 under the Theta. The old fleece I switched out for a Monkey Fur when the temp dropped to 20.
