As an environmental consultant, I spend a lot of time in the woods, in the city and all other areas where we pollute our earth. I need pants that are light and breathable but also burly enough to take some pain. These are great pants. The fit is great, slim but not tight at the bottoms. The butt area is slightly smaller than usual Arc pants.In Boston its been 15F all month and these with some Patagonia R bottoms are just fine. They have the slightest amount of stretch to them, too. I have a pair in dark taupe, too bad they don't make that color anymore. (hint hint arcteryx...)[...] The quality is still very good though.Verbum sapienti satis est: Greenstone is actually olive drab colored and MUCH darker than shown, and NO OTHER COMPANY has these pants in stock...buy buy buy! :)

I'm often on the look out for a pant that will hold up in rough climates. Today I'm in Iraq. It's a 115 F in the shade. I spend 8 to 9 hours alongside Coalition Forces as a security consultant. I can pack these babies up in a day pack for a reserve pant and they even look nice in an office.

I borrowed my boyfriends Palisade pants the weekend before my purchase on a climb. I knew what to expect from these pants and was not disappointed. I teach high school art and wore them to work the day after they arrived. I'm 53 years old and have always had a hard time finding pants that fit right. These do.

One of the best pants out there

These pants are awesome. They feel like they could withstand the war. I normally wear a 34 in the waist, but from other reviews I got the 36 and they fit perfect.
