Good buy for a light biner. Basic wiregate design. Only gets 4 stars because of wild country's helium wire gate biner. Lighter? Not sure - smoother, faster nicer? Yes.

If you've never used notchless and haven't experienced a problem with the notch than don't switch. You won't know the difference. Notches are cheaper though and I use them on the rope side where the draw never gets finagled with my gear loop, sling, or hanger.
