I love this little light, it is super compact and wont turn on in your pack wasting precious battery life. The beam adjustment allows you do dim the LED to what looks like 50%, its an LED so you will more than likely never have to worry about burning out. I use LED technology a lot in my job and have never had one actually burn out even after weeks of continuos use. This thing is very energy efficient, and if you use rechargeable lithium batteries you will save a lot of money in the long run. My only gripe is that the lantern is a little hefty when the batteries are in it, but my understanding is that they went wanted to use four common use batteries rather using one hard to source lighter weight battery.

I used a candle lantern in my tent for years. This awesome little jewel is the same size and puts off much more light. The battery life is sufficient for a weekend trip. There are three sizes to choose from; go to the manufacturers web-site for more details & video clips.
