I bought these gloves for my wife whose hands are always cold, she loved the snug fit, the gloves kept her hands nice and warm during a weekend at Joshua Tree. I'm planning on buying myself a pair.

The fit is very snug, more so than other BD gloves I have. This sort of has to be the case with Powerstretch if you want any kind of dexterity. The snug gauntlet covers the wrist to keep the blood flow to the fingers warm. The fingers already show signs of wear, but that's par for fabric gloves. The thing I don't understand is the leather palm patch. It does add some grip, but if grip were a goal it would help more to have leather on a couple fingers. PStretch can be slippery! Anyway, if the gloves get damp the leather takes a long time to dry out again. My opinion: BD should make up their minds. If grip is a design goal, use a light leather palm AND fingers. Otherwise, let these be liner gloves with the emphasis on fast drying and light weight - no leather.

Don't get me wrong: I still like these. I wear them for spring days out hiking, for cold weather driving, and will be taking them backpacking soon.

I use these gloves everyday for everything from errands to outdoor sports as a glove liner. I buy two or three pairs of these a year and now buy them for my friends and family for Christmas and birthdays. The fabric in the most recent edition is heavier and I expect they will wear longer ... I always wear holes in the pointer and middle fingers, sometimes the thumbs... but I figure for the price,the utility and the all around jobs I ask them to do, I wasn't going to let a few holes diminish my attachment to them ... When I first put on the new ones I was a little disappointed about the heavier fabric, and worried that they would be too thick to manage small motor tasks, like sorting keys to get into the house/car/etc. But that has not been the case. They are molding to my hands just like my old faves and still give me the dexterity I need.

Nice fit but mine lasted a matter of months after reasonable use skiing and hiking. Fingers tips opened up requiring a solid tape job to keep them together. Not good for high use activities.

I love these gloves. My second pair.I am a corporate flight attendant and on cold days these gloves keep me warm yet allow me to turn on my galley switches without removing my gloves.

These aren't tough enough to wear when you need to use your hands (wore right through the tip of my index finger the first day out), and are heavier than they need to be (a leather palm and gauntlet?) for a liner. Probably good for jogging or driving...but not in the mountains.
