Weekend Warrior Worthy
By telemarkerVerified Buyer from Oregon on 1/28/2010
Pros:
Easy To Set Up, Flexible, Lightweight, Rugged, Stable
Best Uses:
Back Country, Cross Country, Deep Powder, Downhill
Describe Yourself:
Intermediate
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Black Diamond Telekneesis Kneepad:

I've only used these once, but that time was for about 2 hours. The straps aren't normal elastic, so it doesn't cause irritation. The shape and strap location on my knees were perfect (I'm tall and thin), so once I started down I never felt them. I even kept them on when hiking back up the run and during the light ski on the trail back to the car - never felt them.

Read reviews that they will begin to crack after 1-2 years, but I don't believe it if you only use them every other week.

Didn't do the job!
By RBVerified Reviewer from Anchorage, AK on 10/22/2008
Pros:
Lightweight
Cons:
Flimsy
Best Uses:
Back Country, Deep Powder, Downhill
Describe Yourself:
Advanced
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Black Diamond Telekneesis Kneepad:

The product failed. Cracks developed in the plastic armor covering on both knees pads. I still use them with duct tape repairs. They are comfortable to wear all day long but not sure about protection anymore. I will probably replace them this season with a different brand.

Awesome! And cheaper than knee surgery
By OlympiaVerified Reviewer from New York, NY on 6/26/2007
Pros:
Comfortable, Lightweight, Protective
Best Uses:
snowboarding
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Black Diamond Telekneesis Kneepad:

I'm a novice/intermediate snowboarder & had my 1st chance to snowboard Mt. Hood just a few months after hurting my knees at Killington. I felt good enough to board again but was a little wary about knee falls so I bought these & am SO glad I did. I felt like I was falling on marshmallow cream during those occasional toe side falls, these were that comfy & my knees were so well protected. Easy to put on over ski pants, one size fits all/most, had to adjust them a few times after some tumbles. But regardless, these are great & cheaper than knee surgery! Excellent way to be smart & protect your knees from injury.
