Best ICE CLIMBING Harness!

I currently use a BD Women's 'Primrose' harness (S) for rock climbing, which is great for rock and frustrating for ice. Was delighted to find this specially designed harness for ice & mixed climbing. It's sized for men, so ladies, buy a size smaller. I'm 5'6" and 125 lbs and wear size 2 jeans. The (XS) fits perfect. I love that the BD 'ice clippers' fit onto the harness without the belt attachment because that's what this harness is designed for. Very comfortable legs loops and love the extra long belt for fitting over multiple clothing layers when the mercury drops below freezing.

I am a Canyoneer and don't know much about climbing. This seems like a typical high quality Black Diamond harness. It's everything I need to repel down canyon, no clue about going back up it or where to find a climbing gym if I had to. I do tend to go through harnesses, dragging them wet and sandy across sandstone as I do. This one seems nicer then the one's I usually find at this price, but I fully expect it to last only 1 or 2 seasons.

The Black Diamond is supposed to go to size 42 waist. However, when buckled, the unit is way off center.

Exilent for Ziplinig and other activities that are a lot of sitting in your harness.I reccomend only 2 Caritools otherwise it gets crowded. I Climb in my tree almost every day and use it for hanging on branches and lead climbing. some chafing with shorts and a t-shirt.

Great harness!!! Use it on everything from sport climbs to alpine climbing, from gym to glaciers. VERY comfortable, and very supportive. plenty of room on the gear loops for a full trad rack.
