I like them in certain situations to reduce weight, but they are not an ideal general purpose wiregate. I use them for racking individual cams or on the pro/bolt side of a draw. I prefer not to run rope through them because the narrow width would create a tight bend in a fall. They are harder to handle than carabiners in the 28-32 gram weight range.

It's hard to believe these are full-strength biners. They are super light and great for racking and use on quickdraws and alpine slings. Two of them weigh less than most regular carabiners! The only negative is I can't use them with gloves very well for winter climbing due to the small frame size.

A great way to rack your gear. Save weight and space on your rack with these tiny wiregates! They open easily and clip without trouble. Why haul extra ballast up the climb when these biners are literally half the weight! The only improvement I would make would be some sort of snag free wire gate closure such as the excellent WC Heliums, which are 43% heavier and 67% more expensive :( I would keep wire nuts and the like on something with a keylock style nose, but these 23 gram Camp Nanos are perfect for the rest of the rack.
