i climb about 4-5 days a week in the gym and almost every weekend i can outside. the local crags are sandstone, and the eco-trax rubber has performed wonderfully! i really like the elektras because of the level of comfort without sacrificing power and sensitivity. However, i bought a size 8, and although they are synthetic uppers AND lined, they are still too big now. i cannot heel hook in them any more because they come off. But on vertical-slighty overhanging climbs they do well. i will just stay away from aretes and super steep climbs with these shoes. i would suggest getting 1/2 a size small and dealing with the pain for a few weeks to get a true fit.

I climb in a size 8. So, when I ordered these, I ordered an 8. But I had to send them back because they were at least a 1/2 size too small. Looks like it's gonna be a really good shoe though, once I get the right size!
