Product Details
Description:
When you turn over rock shoe design to one of the best climbers in the world, you've gotta figure you're going to get a great shoe like the Pontas Lace-Up rock shoe from Evolv. Designed by Chris Sharma, this shoe's as tough as it gets with 1 and 1/2 midsoles, a tough, friction-rubber outsole, and high rand to keep you scumming and hooking in comfort.

Features:

  • When we say a shoe's got sole, we mean it; edge with precision with the full 2 mm midsole and half 1 mm midsole coupled with the 4.2 mm TRAX XT-5 high friction rubber sole
  • You'll have a glove-like fit thanks to the added support and stiffness in the forefoot and heel
  • Protect your toes and get a better grip while hooking and scumming with the higher toe rand crafted from Trax high friction rubber
  • Spend more time climbing and less time lacing with the speed lacing system that allows for sensitive tension adjustments

Specifications:

  • Upper: Non-stretch Synthratek synthetic upper
  • Lined: yes
  • Sole: 4.2 mm TRAX XT-5 high friction rubber

Comments about Evolve Sports & Designs Pontas Lace-Up Rock Shoe:

This shoe is amazing. It edges with the best of them and instills confidence on all dime edges. It's versatile with extreme comfort on all angles and rock type, but excels when it's tiny and scary.

Comments about Evolve Sports & Designs Pontas Lace-Up Rock Shoe:

The Pontas Lace-Ups are my shoe of choice for long routes because they are both comfortable and high-performance, setting them apart from many other "trad" shoes. I know that I can wear them for a long time and still expect to be able to stand on small granite edges. I would recommend the Pontas Lace-Ups to anyone looking for a high performance shoe for long, vertical, technical routes. They're great on cracks too, because of the lower-profile toe. If sized a bit tighter, they are perfect for extreme edging exercises.

Comments about Evolve Sports & Designs Pontas Lace-Up Rock Shoe:

The pontas lace is one of the most versatile shoes out there. Wanna crack climb? Pontas lace. Wanna slab climb on nasty edges? The pontas lace never fails to grab those little nubbins. Wanna sport climb all day and then head to the boulders for a night session? The pontas work perfect for both.

•This shoe pushes your foot into a semi aggressive form without ever hurting or cramping your toes.
• The heel cup is tight so you can heel hook like crazy.
Verdict: perfect shoe

Comments about Evolve Sports & Designs Pontas Lace-Up Rock Shoe:

A very good point and shoot climbing shoe.

When the crash pad looks about the size of a penny your arms are blasted and you got to step on something real small. This is the shoe I want when I have one try to get it right.

The shoe fits me very well with my narrow feet.
