Finally, a tent that stays bone dry in winter in all weathers--- "Event" fabric simply cannot be beat! The many other so-called water-proof breathable fabrics have always failed me on crucial climbs-- don't propagate the deception! Don't rest satisfied with wet clothing! Event really works! My Event jacket breathes as well as plain old Ventile cotton, but does not freeze (for those of you who haven't used Ventile (tight weave Egyptian cotton) it works great, but is rare and expensive these days). The Exped Event tent does the same. I've used this tent primarily for ski-touring where it withstood high winds and heavy snow-loads wonderfully. It comes with an optional middle pole, but you should use it in winter all of the time. Workmanship is excellent-- all features pleased me, especially the light carry weight. Its long enough for my 6'6" frame, and the tiny vestibule works better than most tents' large ones. Color is pleasing inside, and pitching is fast (very clever guy line system). But most of all-- it is built with Event fabric-- the only water-proof, breathable fabric that does not lie!!! Boycott all of the others!
