I talked a snowboarder freind of mine from out of state to purchase these before coming to Alaska for backcountry because the concept seemed great- a far cry better than snowshoes. After arrival and trial on trail we discovered that there is a serious flaw in that the skin does not go to the edge of the ski, rather leaving nearly a centimeter of base and edge exposed. Anyone who has ever tried to use older skinny skins on newer wide skiis will know exactly what I'm talking about. These skiis don't climb and are very frustrating and inefficient on even gradual slopes in dry snow or hardpack. I tried them myself because I couldn't believe such a long standing company would design such a flawed tool. The binding system is about the only positive, but a heel lift would be a simple addition and neccessary if they actually went uphill.

fun and very handy

Easy to use, Fits any boot, Durable, Good bindings

Heavy, Toe strap hard to work

Back country, Going to the store

i like this ski. it fits in my back seat, it goes uphill well.good with or without poles. very easy to control.makes falling down fun again
