Comments about La Sportiva Mulaz GTX Hiking Boot:

Too new to speak of long term durability but so far so good. This is a heavier weight boot for backpacking or winter hiking- similar to a Vasque Sundowner. They do run a bit narrow so they're definitely not for wide feet; they're quite a bit narrower than the vasque sundowners they replaced. I had a size 11.5 Sundowner and got a 45.5 with these. They look heavy but they're actually slightly lighter than a sundowner. These will take a while to break in so allow for that.

Comments about La Sportiva Mulaz GTX Hiking Boot:

I have worn these boots HARD in the past year. First off, they were not really waterproof until I used FREESOLE glue/waterproofer around the toe box seams - this made them completely waterproof. Now after approx. 14 months of abuse in Montana - I am talking off trail hiking during hunting, scouting, backpacking in all conditions.. they are busting at the leather seams on both boots to the outside of the lacing system. The tread is holding up great but I am going to have to get them repaird in order to keep enjoying these great lightweight yet sturdy hikers.

Comfortable right out of the box. Feet are never sore regardless of how long I wear them for. Comfortable like a sneaker with the support of a boot.
