Looks like a nice shoe for long outdoor climbs. I am used to 43.5 La Sportivas fitting perfect. I couldn't get them on my feet without pain. I had to return them.

Comments about La Sportiva Tradmaster Rock Shoe - Unisex:

Bought this shoe a full size too big to make room for thick wool socks.I had major ankle surgery in Sept 06 and started climbing again in May.These shoes are helping in my recovery due to their comfort and support.I've already ordered a second pair in my original size in anticipation of soon climbing harder routes again! Thanx,You folks are great.

good comfortable, first shoe climbing shoe that i've acctually forgotten i was wearing!
they work great in cracks (when sinched down tightly) and great for healhooks!

con's they can take some time to sinch them down to the toe but like with any shoe you'le appriciate that you spent the time

review - tradmasters by la sportiva
By Sean FVerified Reviewer from Minneapolis, MN on 9/4/2006
Sizing:
Fit true to size
Width:
Fit true to width
Best Uses:
Casual Climbing, Trad Climbing

Comments about La Sportiva Tradmaster Rock Shoe - Unisex:

Although touted as a shoe perfect for most things trad, about the only thing they excel at is bigger than fingers to fist sized cracks. They were too thick to fit into any thin crack, making even the most casual finger cracks more like campus, smear pump-fests (for me, anyway). Without ankle protection, they were inadequate on offwidths as well, and the heels of mine were stained with blood.
On the other hand, they never got to smelling bad, which is unheard of in climbing shoes, were endlessly comfortable, and I've never felt more comfortable standing in a handcrack.
If you're logging a lot of moderate miles of climbing, especially on not terribly technical slabs, medium cracks, and easy face climbs, these are an excellent choice.
Otherwise, I'd reccomend a pair of comfortably sized Miuras, Mythos, or Anasazi Laceups, depending on the shape of your foot (and to get them about as comfortable as Tradmasters, fit them and wear them with socks).
