Great stove - light and compact

Extremely easy to disassemble for cleaning and repair. Reliable. Virtually no temperature control on this stove - you have to upgrade to the MSR Dragonfly to get that. It is either on or off.

Great stove for what I do, back packing 4 seasons on the east coast and mountaineering, Cant get white gas, burn what ever you can light! its really that simple. Cleaning is easy with the tools that come along with it. Dont plan on cooking anything other than boiling water tho, temp control is kinda... interesting! But if you make all your meals with just boiling water, its great. Fast, easy and it cools quick as well. Just make sure to give the fuel to a friend to cary ;)

Solid , tried & true liquid fuel stove

I had my stove for close to six years and only had to change out the jet once in the whole time I've had it. Granteed I only do about three weeks a year of packing where it's needed, however it has been a solid piece of gear.

Simmering is alittle less to be desired, however it works effectively enough that it isn't a big issue. Also I am not cooking some high end gourmet meal on it and I also don't want to be cooking forever when there are things to see and terrain to conquer.

Works everywhere you want to go

Can be tricky to put together

When you can't get white gas, this stove is your best friend. Most foreign countries sell the camping Gaz canisters which are environmentally wasteful. This stove allows you to backpack and travel without carting around and disposing of those canisters. Now getting any camping gear on an airplane these days....well, that's the trick I guess.

I've used this product in the Chilean and Argentinian Patagonia, the Sierra Nevada mountains in California and Easter Island off the coast of Chile.
