Comments about Mammut Shock Absorber - Dyneema 16mm:

Use for ice and alpine. Half the weight of older nylon screamers. Only downside is that it doesn't have a rubber thingy or other means to hold the rope-side biner in place (can use tape or rubber o-rings for this, but on such an expensive product seems like Mammut would provide). It is overly expensive, but I expect knockoffs will appear soon. . .
