Comments about Marmot Driclime Catalyst Jacket - Men's:

I use this jacket more than any other, and I own about 20 different jackets. It is good from temps in the high 30's to the low 60's with just a baselayer. If you layer over a base with a fleece or something you can be comfy down to the low 20's. It is windproof but breathes very well and the stretchy underarm panels are great. It packs pretty small for a jacket with a liner and somehow the liner always feels about right--not too warm, not too cool, and it never feels weight even when I'm sweating after a run. A must have. Fit seems pretty big.

Comments about Marmot Driclime Catalyst Jacket - Men's:

This is a very nice, light coat. I have about 18 different "fleece" jackets that, have mostly been worn ragged. I was looking for a newer, crisper model and came upon the DryClime Catalyst.
Not technically a "fleece" really, but it has served me well this summer as a replacement for the usual fleece around camp, and as casual wear, but also as a good packable shell/jacket for the backcountry. I have also been pleasantly surprised at it's ability to shed light rains or drizzle, and the breathability it provides.
It also provides a level of warmth that has been pretty good for me. I'm a skinny guy without much insulation and when the temp dips to a certain level, I'll need a layer to keep the chill off, no matter how hard I may be working. In these situations, most fleece keep me too warm and I feel "clammy." The Catalyst has kept me much more comfortable at those times.
I've not had a chance to test it's cold temp tolerance yet but, I will before too long here in MN. Best for cool temps, wind, or in light rain conditions. When ya need a light, warm, breathable layer (though, it is not a RAIN shell for downpours of more than a moment. It will soak). Price-point may be a little high (I'm cheap, I got it on sale) but after using it, I think it's worth it. And it's made of "UpCycled" and ?recycled? materials. I can dig that. Happy Trails!

Comments about Marmot Driclime Catalyst Jacket - Men's:

This new model works well for epics, not the most compact but the bulk is in solid construction and details vs the micro's, vented back, nice collar w/o hood, unlined arms so they stick to skin when wet, wrists had enough elastic to work above the elbow for me.
