I carry these as insurance for heavy rain. I layer over marmot scree pants for a very effective but warm waterproof solution. If I put these over shorts I have to use the side zips for ventilation because they get steamy in a hurry. Waist is a little tight for the size listed, especially if layering over. I'm satisfied for the weight and function compared to the price. Marmot is usually a good value and has good customer service if something goes wrong.

I use this product for snow blowing on my tractor. I just wanted to stay dry. I not only stay dry - but it doesn't take me extra time to get the precip pants on over my jeans.
