I can wear this to work everyday in winter either alone, or with a shell over it and be comfortable however, on a warm spring day touring/hiking/shoveling, this shirt is too warm.

The large fit a little big so I returned it for a medium which is a very form fitting and a good fit on me, although a little short in the waist. I am 6'3" and 195 lbs and the larege was just too big across the shoulders and chest. I like the mediums fit, it looks great and can see using this as a base layer on cold days. Very snuggly warm and comfortable and I think it breathes pretty well, which was just what I was looking for.

During the winter where the coldest we see can be 15F I wear this pull over more than I wear anything else. Extremely comfortable and enough colors to match anything. The half zip is great for temperature regulation. The sleeves due tend to lengthen and stretch out which can be annoying but a quick run in the washer and it goes back to the original size.

I wear this for high output days running in the woods/trails/hills. Ran in snowy conditions a couple of times with it and it didn't soak through, which was nice. The shirt is great and does just what it's supposed to. The downside is the sleeves are too long. The upshot of that is that I cut holes and now I've for a great fleece with thumbholes.

I had the earlier version of this and they still use polartec power stretch (my favorite) and have improved it by adding a chest pocket they have unfortunately removed the storm flap from the zipper. So instead of being the first thing I'll grab on my next mountain climb, I'm going to use it around town as my Yuppie sweater. (Marmot are you listening ?). However I would not blame Marmot entirely - other top shelf vendors have done the same with their primo gear.
