I use this pant for backpacking, mountaineering and snowshoeing in mild to cold climates. It's a great pant that breathes really well and feels comfortable from the upper 60's to mid 30's without a base layer and with a base layer could be worn well into the 20's. It packs very small. One con of the pant is that the inner fabric has a tendency to bunch up when sliding over a base layer so it takes a minute to get comfy.

I use these mainly for park ice-climbing and I love them. The stretchy soft-shell material is nearly puncture-proof and they're great for wearing crampons with, so they're also great for not-so-vertical ice travel. Happy living!

I wear these pants on cold rainy fall and spring days along with general usage during the winter. They performed well hiking the Appalachian Trail. They can be worn with long johns or by themselves under a Gore Tech pant like Marmot's Five Point Pants. The ankle zipper comes in handy when putting your boots on.

Very comfortable, perfect amount of stretch, and also very durable. I mostly use them for hiking. I'm a chick, but decided to buy the men's small. I'm 5'4" 130lbs and they fit perfectly in the waist and length. They're a little warm for summer, but not unbearable.
