The jacket proved to be much more useful than I expected. It's very lightweight and layered well under my puffy jacket. The collar is great -- very furry and warm and comes up high to protect my neck and the lower part of my face. I wish the zipper was covered on the inside when the collar is up, so the cold metal couldn't touch my face, but it's loose enough that it's not a huge issue and I didn't have to wear a scarf or neck gator -- one less thing to lose. It stands up well to outdoor sports, like rock climbing, too. My best friend wants to steal it for her travels.

So far, this jacket is all I've needed this winter. The fleece is nice and thick, and keeps me surprisingly dry in nasty winterish rain. It's light, too, and doesn't take up much packing space.
The collar is kind of annoying, because I can't wear a scarf with it, but when it zips up, it's really warm and comfy, so it's not a con so much as something of which to take note.

The fleece itself is fine, but the collar is too heavy and bulky, out of balance to the rest of the fleece. I'll be returning it.
