Solid, tough and comfortable. I was however a bit surprised about the size. To my needs (1-2 ropes, shoes, rack, harness, water) it is a bit too small. And if I would need to take a sandwich or two those would not fit in. I already pack the helmet outside.

This is a great pack. I can fit a 70m rope, full rack, harness, 2 pairs of shoes and lunch in this. Perfect for a day at the crag. VERY bombproof material, i dont think this is going to be ripping anytime soon. Though a built in rope tarp would have been a nice feature.

The first thing that surprised me about this bag was how well it carried. The support system is fairly minimal but carrying this bag stuffed with gear (40+lbs) for an hour uphill in the South Platte was no problem for this bag. Almost everything about this bag is bomber. The exception is the plastic sternum buckle which I broke almost immediately and the nylon material suffers after sliding over boulders at Vedawoo. I expect holes to appear in this bag after this season or the next. I'd also like to see a rope tarp incorporated and I'd like to see some more sizes. I'm 5'8'' 155lbs and it fits me well but anyone smaller than me would probably want a smaller bag. In summary, this is a bomber bag suitable for sport and trad climbers of medium to large stature.

I bought it this winter and look forward to using it. It does look slightly small to fit all I've read can be put into this thing. The only addition I would really like to see is a rope tarp built into the bottom of the bag. If it had that it would get 5 stars from me.

This is the beta! Simply a great crag pack. I love being able to get at what I need without having to empty everything out of the top. This thing is over-built and I expect it to last for years and years. The one thing keeping it from being perfect is that I think it's just a bit too small. I can fit two pair of shoes, a rack, draws, rope, harness, and chalkbag, but BARELY anything else besides a few snacks. A little more space would provide room for water and an extra layer or two. GREAT CRAG PACK!!!
