This does an excellent job of blocking the wind while remaining very lightweight, cool, and breathable. I also have an older version of the Transition Zip T that is heavier and hotter. I prefer this lightweight version for highly aerobic activities or for when the temperatures are not extremely cold. The shoulders and sleeves fit me perfectly. The waist/lower torso is a bit slim, but not uncomfortable.

This is my 2nd transition jacket that I have purchased. This one was bigger than last, so I re-ordered a size smaller which was perfect. I've used this jacket for many activities from hiking/ biking in wet & windy weather to competing in ultra mountain bike races. It has been rock solid each time.

I purchased this shirt as a light, windproof outer layer during those cool days for backpacking/ mountainering. Wanted to be able to take off shell and put this on over base layer when things warmed up.

I am 6'1" at 165 lbs. I usually wear an athletic cut in shirts, so I though this would work well. Found fit very loose in sholders with athletic cut in waist, but not enough give in waist to make it easy to take on and off. Without a full zip, there was no room to get it off easily. This made it difficult to pull on and off over any base layer. It was even awkward when used alone as a base layer. Once on it felt puffy in the sholders. Sleeves to long with no thumb loops.

Finally, the color "Tiger" should be referred to as Traffic Stopping Orange... Shirt might be good for running but not hiking.

I never took it out of the house, so I do not know how it breathes. Ended up returning shirt.

This is a good outer layer for the ski touring- it blocks the wind but doesn't feel too warm or bulky. Better than a fleece or a soft shell for that purpose.
