Product Details
Description:
Hit the Nordic ski trails in comfort with the waterproof, breathable protection of the Exposure II Parka from Mountain Hardwear. As Conduit membrane sheds precip, you stay sweat-free in a soft CoolMax mesh and taffeta lining that actively wicks moisture away from your skin while providing enough ventilation for interior moisture to evaporate.

Features:

  • Prepare for extreme outdoor exposure in waterproof Conduit laminate with hydrophobic and hydrophilic molecules that wick sweat from the interior and shed precip at the exterior
  • Skinning uphill doesn't have to mean sticky, interior moisture, CoolMax mesh and taffeta fabric actively moves moisture away from your skin while providing plenty of venting
  • When the harsh alpine weather closes in, pull up the attached, roll-away Ergo hood with a laminated brim while you enjoy the comfort of the non-abrasive micro-chamois-lined chin guard
  • Shun ice and snow with the powder skirt while you keep chill breezes out by adjusting the welded waist, hood, and hem drawcords with one hand
  • If you up the activity level, stay cool by opening the extra long Simplex pit zips for extra ventilation
  • Keep your credit card or ID in the interior zippered pocket or Napoleon pocket
  • Clip your mitts to the glove rings on the sleeves and warm your hands in the fleee-lined, chest-high hand pockets while you stow H2O in the interior water bottle pocket
  • Move freely, and place your nordic poles as needed, the articulated sleeves won't hinder movement

Specifications:

  • Weight: 2 lb 2 oz
  • Waterproofing: Conduit polyurethane laminate

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Exposure II Parka - Men's:

Very nice parka, but far too big, the XL really seemed more like a 2X or 3X. I wish I had ordered a Large, probably would have fit fine.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Exposure II Parka - Men's:

Got this jacket from mountaingear.com and tried it out on The Remarkables and Coronet Peak in the South Island of New Zealand. Used the jacket for alpine skiing and it performed well. It was very wind resistant and warm, I skied (-4 C) in a thermal top + T shirt with the jacket and it was warm as toast. Nice product would also be great in any cold outdoor activity

Excellent for cold weather use as a shell. Performs great in wet weather as well. I live in the mountains near Yellowstone Park and have used it for the Past 2 years with no problems at all. It's a great shell for skiing or any backcountry adventure seeker.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Exposure II Parka - Men's:

I use this jacket for snowboarding. Spent a week in Canada with some pretty strong winds at the summit and negative temperatures for the first couple days. I just pulled up the hood and didn't notice the wind. Never had a problem with getting wet either, even during a powder day at Mt. Baker, the powder skirt worked.
