I rated the size on this as "too small". The sizing chart placed me as a "small" but I could barely zip it up. Went to a Medium and it was great. I'm 5'8" 135lbs with a 30" waist.

The sleeves are long, but that's perfect if you're being active as it keeps the wrists protected and avoids the gap at the gloves. The velcro on the wrist kept my coat and gloves together well, or keeps the sleeves under control if you aren't wearing gloves at the time.

The DWR finish is starting to wear off in some places, but still no water comes through in light or moderate rain in shorter exposure. I haven't had a chance to test it in heavy or prolonged rain yet, but I expect it will hold up well.

Jacket breathes well, and with the pit zips open I never feel overheated. The larger outer pockets also allow air flow if you need it.

The chest pockets are smallish, but if you have bigger items just use one of the bigger pockets.

I love the Dark Adobe (orange) colour. It's visible if I were to get into trouble, but not obscenely bright.

The hood will definitely accommodate a helmet and cinches down well if you don't have one on. Okay, it will look a bit different, but very functional. The brim does a great job of keeping the weather off your face.

The cut is very trim. I wear a primaloft jacket and medium weight fleece on really cold days. I don't think you'd fit a big down sweater under it without compressing the down. The up side is that when you wear it on it's own it still fits well and doesn't feel like a tent. I thought the fit was a bit odd at first, but with the stretch that it has I love it's functionality. The back is long enough to barely protect your butt if your sitting down.

I have had the jacket for three months and used it for hiking, skiing, casual wear and camping with some light climbing. It has been awesome for all of the above.

I have worn this jacket through many conditions from below freezing and raining to high altitude mountaineering it has performed brilliantly. It fits perfect as a light shell and fits well with a good insulation layer underneath.

This jacket is bombproof! The day it arrived I left for a three day trip to The Red River Gorge. It rained most of the time and I was bone dry in my new jacket. The hood is amazing as well. The internal elastic cord hugs your head like a knit hat and kept me comfortable and dry the whole time. The only time I took this jacket off was to sleep. I'm 5'7 with an athletic build and a size small fits me perfect. This jacket is the quality you would expect from Mountain Hardwear. Great jacket for a great price. Lots of pockets too. I haven't used it in cold weather yet but I have a feeling it will be just fine.

i'm 6'1" and the sleeves still go down to my knuckles. the overall fit is great and it has more pockets than i know what to do with(easy to forget which pocket that chapstick is in). performed perfect in winter conditions but yet to see a humid downpour with it on. peace friends.
