Recently used on a hike/climb up Mt. Adams. Was wind (afraid that my cap was going to fly off so I switched to this togue). Very comfortable and blocked the wind without getting hot. Looking at pitcures afterwards I noticed that I had a lot of room at the top, so it could be a little shorter cut but if I roll the fisrt few inches up, I lose the micro-fleece. On sale though a great price. An effect pieve of head-gear.

Absolutely windproof. Because of that, it is warm, even though it's thin and lacks much insulation. This hat has a tight fit, just like the Transition shirts from Mountain Hardwear.

Be sure to get the correct size because it definitely doesn't stretch much. That is just the nature of this fabric though and a small price you pay for a thin windproof hat.

This is a great light weight hat for any winter or just general cold weather aerobic use like running or XC skiing. When the wind whips up you won't notice a thing. The fit is a tad snug, but that's good to keep the wind from blowing it off your melon. The only cons is that the seams can leave a mark on your skin after you take it off due to the snug fit and the fabric doesn't stretch much. There is a little give, but not a lot. It is breathable too and can keep up with adequate venting during moderate exertion.

I wore out my first one after about 8 years, the seams finally gave way.
Windproofing is good, thin enough to fit under a helmet, provides a bit of insulation without bulk.
