Comments about Mountain Hardwear Transition Jacket - Men's:

Fits a little tight, and needs more pockets. It would also be nice to have more water resistance. Does well with with very light rain, but anything more than that will get through. But this jacket is WINDPROOF. Great shell to block out those cold winds!

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Transition Jacket - Men's:

I was excited to get this jacket as I have the transition Zip T and couldn't be happier with it. The N2S fabric is amazing stuff, but the cut of this jacket leaves a lot to be desired. Ordered a large and the fit was terrible. Granted, I am tall (6'4") and thin (175#), but usually have no problems finding gear that fits. This jacket seems to be cut for an athletic build (which I have), yet felt tight through the arms, short in the sleeves, tight through the chest (i.e. no room for even the lightest of base layers without ROM restriction), and the entrie package is a bit short overall - I can't put the hood on without feeling tension in the shoulders. I tried on the XL and the only difference was a bit more room in the chest / stomach so it was not a better fit for me. I will be returning the product; would be 100% happy with it if the fit was right but I have no use for it is I can't use the hood. TRY BEFORE YOU BUY - it's not for everyone.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Transition Jacket - Men's:

I've owned a lot of Mountain Hardwear stuff and I've recently add this to my collection. I am really happy with this jacket. It's always very windy during the fall and winter time in Beijing,so this jacket is an essential gear for me to cut the wind, it's surprisingly warm. And It's also a very lightweight jacket that you can pack it down to a little when you hiking in the backcountry. Highly recommend it.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Transition Jacket - Men's:

This jacket has been though two half marathons (1 road, 1 trail, and training), several dozen road and mountain bike rides, is my choice for my rides to work, and weekends of climbing. Do not mistake this jacket for something to just wear for style but great gear that actually works. For biking or climbing in cooler weather I just throw on a light base layer and am set, if I'm doing a hard run I often wear just the jacket. for biking and climbing this jacket is great between 65 and 10 degrees and for running I wear it until the temps get above 50. The only thing I wish was different was I wish the pocket was on the chest which is just a personal choice, I just find it hard to dig gel packets out of the hip pocket while moving quickly.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Transition Jacket - Men's:

I bought this jacket to wear while skate skiing and mountain biking and it's perfect for these uses. It's both wind proof and very breathable and the hood is great for cold days and it fits under a bike helmet for cold weather descents. Unlike some others, I like the slim fit because the garment does hang or flap in the wind or allow drafts to enter at the waist.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Transition Jacket - Men's:

I bought this years version for my husband after wearing my two year old women's version for biking, running, sea kayaking. The fabric is perfect for 30-50 degrees, and works well in wind, and light rain. Very breathable. This years version left me disappointed with the fit. Not true to size, sleeves very, very long, torso design is unforgiving unless you have a perfect (narrow waisted) physique. The large fit my 15 year old athlete son, 6'1", 160 lbs. Overall it is a great jacket, but fit is a limitation to those who are of average proportion.

In a perfect world you have a combination of Gore-Tex and Winstopper. With a few layers topped off with the Transition my movements felt no restrictions. Perfect for Mixed Ice Climbing and Cold days of Rock.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Transition Jacket - Men's:

This jacket is great, as are most N2S products. [...] Really great light-weight item, good for high wind conditions (has been a life-saver on winter road rides). Permits perfect temperature regulation with minimal layering -- a light weight baselayer and this jacket are great for winter aerobic activities.Pocket is useful -- but only if you aren't wearing a backpack

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Transition Jacket - Men's:

First off, for the price, this jacket is amazing. It has a wonderful fit in the body. I packed layers under it and the only place it felt slightly uncomfortable was in the armpits. The lightweight and versitile nature of this jacket makes it wonderful for so many activities. I wear it on cool mornings walking to class, rainy days, and even just for style. The only complaints I have are the arms seem a little too long (I bought a medium) and the pocket in the back is not really useful, except to maybe hold an MP3 player. The only problem with this is that it would be hard to get to if you wanted to change songs. Other than that, I highly recomend this jacket to anyone who needs a lightweight softshell.
