Personal Protective Gear

Pros:

Lighter then most, Name you can trust, Simple, Snag Free

These small and are great.

They are gold coloured unlike most brands so you can normally identify what gear is yours faster.

When used with Plastic simple Petzl Pully they tend to snag on the bend so can require force to slide it on.

If you are using thick rope (about 11mm) and it is through the bottom of the pear (gate pivet point) the gate will sometimes not have enough clearance to open as it will push against the rope at the bottom.

Can run out of room on them if you are using more complexed anchor points (eg rescue setups. If you
want to use them for rescue take them for personal use. Look at the massive Petzl Williams for rescue anchor points (Williams also don't experiance the other 2 problems stated)

Look at Attache 3D Carabiner if you want a lighter more funkier look :oP

I use these biners for sport, trad, and canyoneering. The pear shape is excellent; the operation is always smooth. I've used one for almost 10 years now and it still functions flawlessly. Buy a few, one will never be enough.
