It requires about 8 - 10 hours of full, strong sun to recharge when completely drained. It charges extremely slowly on cloudy days. Was able to recharge my mp3 player and a small speaker on a single charge. It charged best when hung on the outside of the tent on play days. Inconsistent charging when strapped to my pack on days when we moved.

Good method to charge electronics on the road. We like the idea of using solar power. Cuts down on the need to take a slew of chargers. Did have to order two additional tips to charge our cell phones, but you can't cover all the bases.

I use this daily to charge my cellular phone. I love how easy it is to use, in fact, the instructions are pictures and not words. I just have to remember to leave it in the sun to charge.
