Although this coat is attractive, it is too small overall. I am 5'6", 125 lbs and the Medium was very small in general. The coat sat above my pants, but rides up quickly. I felt like it was always riding up and I decided to return it. Mountain Gear didn't have the Large, so I had to order from another company and I am still waiting for my refund. The Large fit perfectly. I would recommend this coat, but you must do your research and read the reviews. Many will say how short it is and to order a size up.

I purchases this jacket for my 12 year old daughter. Although I am not disappointed with the quality of the jacket, I was expecting it to be longer in the waist. In the picture the band appears to hit at the hips. I purposely purchased a womans xs, apposed to the children size, as the larger childrens sizes tend to be shorter and wider. My daughter is thin and only 59" tall and the jacket still falls only to her waist. In addition the web site described the color to be "new taupe" with a picture that looked grey/brown. The actual jacket is more green, and the tag description of the color is "new taupe green". The jacket we received looks more like the "swamp green" color now on the web site. In spite of these things, my daughter still likes the jacket,and so we did decide to keep it, but I do feel that the jacket was not advertised properly. The color was completely different and maybe they should call it a bomber style jacket.

This jacket was on my daughter's Christmas wish list. She is usually a small in North Face but really needed a medium in order to wear the jacket over a sweater etc. Sleeves were better in the medium as well. Would have been 5 star review if it ran a little bigger.

We purchased this for my sister-in-law in Northern Ireland. She said she will now look great and be warm all through the long winter.

This is a really comfortable, warm stylish jacket. I was worried about the color (Vintage White)but it's a very pretty pearly ivory. I ordered a large for the torso length (I'm 5'7")and it's perfect; a medium would have been a little short for me. The fur trim on the hood is a nice touch. The fur is detachable but the hood is not. For days that you don't want the hood to show, you can unzip the fur and tuck in the hood and it looks good.

It is warm and great and possibly just the cut and style that makes it look to small. I think it's meant to look smaller looking at other women wearing the Gotham style jacket.

I love my new Gotham jacket. It’s warm, cozy, and totally cute. It’s very low cut so even your abs may show a little if you reach up, but it does ride on the belt line of even a low ride jean when standing. The down fill is top quality and very warm. The fur lined hood is very cute, but it can be removed if you want.

I also like the zippered MP3 pocket inside. I run the wire up through the port through the jacket up to my ears and it stays out of the way. The pockets are zippered and are lined with a soft warm lining. It’s pretty well thought out. The knit cuffs and hem will collect a little snow, but if you’re going sledding or skiing wear something else that comes lower or has a snow skirt so no snow goes up your back.

This is an around town coat, but very stylish so you can be warm without having to buy a ski jacket or some dumpy Fargo parka or something.
