Comments about The North Face Skareb 55 Backpack:

Skareb 55 is well suited for a day to 3 day trudging in the wilderness... you'll find it indespensable in terms of comfort for an 8 hour walk... not to mention that it would carry your nooks & crannies. With carefull & proper loading your sure its worth a long trail. It comes with a rainfly too which you'll find handy when you are having a heyday in temperate zones..

Comments about The North Face Skareb 55 Backpack:

This pack works well for 1 night trips, expedition type day treks, or even just a full day hike. Light enough for day packs, yet large and tough enough for extended trips. I have used mine several times so far; Heavy day loads....mineral exploration trips, carrying food, H20, H20 filter, rain gear, first aid, extra layers, hat, gloves, saw, knife, gold pan, pick, shovel, ore bucket, etc, etc. I have also done an overnighter. Works well for the minimalist at heart. Bottom line: This pack can handle the load! A fantastic choice for a wide range of activities. The capacity is there, but it can be tightened up by all of the compression straps. Highly adjustable as well. Get one!!

Comments about The North Face Skareb 55 Backpack:

When I decided to go minimalist I looked for a pack that wasn't skimpy and yet was light weight. This is it. Internal X frame, that hugs your back and allows you to move easily over rough terrain. It is based upon the [...] sack principle and is easy to load. While it lacks water bottle holders on the side, it has adequate room for a bladder and includes a pocket for your bite valve to come over your shoulder. Multiple adjustment straps are within easy reach to allow you to adjust your load while on the trail. It also includes a rain cover, a plus for those days when the coated nylon is just not enough. A great buy at the current price.
