I brew tea in quart nalgene bottles at work, (I use the hot water dispensing water cooler, then chill them in the fridge) and go thru about 2 quarts of ice tea daily. I have three bottles that I keep in rotation...one being used with the Gription and the others chilling...The Guyout Designs Gription without doubt makes it much easier use a nalgene bottle (not that nalgene bottles are technically demanding for most of us). No screw/ unscrew of lids to quench thirst. This is the second one I have bought, for the Dear Wife insisted on one of her own, for even she saw the obvious utility of the thing. I had thought that the price was a bit steep, but as I use it daily, I have gotten my moneys worth out out of it. The only downfall would be that it is a bit difficult to keep clean. It comes apart easy enough, but the spring-plunger assembly part gets grunged out from the tea. I strip it apart and soak in a weak bleach solution at least once a week...I doubt that I would use it much outdoors - as dirt, stuff and creepy-crawly-fliers might try to find a home or settle into the recessed top, but as I use it, it could not be handier (but easier to clean would be nice). Also, the nalgenes will not fit in my car's drink holder, but the Gription allows me to "hook" it on the side of the drink holder which makes it a little more car friendly.

This lid is an ingenious idea. Besides using it outdoors, I notice I drink a lot more water because all I have to do is push a button, instead of unscrewing a cap, holding it back, while trying not to pour all the water on me! It is also a lot easier to drink out of while driving. One concern, it does seem like the suction ring around the base of gription is a little delicate, it has come off a few times and I have spilt water all over myself. But I guess the pros outway the cons, and I think with a little more product design work, it will be the best thing to happen to Nalgene bottles since the little drinking pour spout thingy!

I've had it since Christmas '05. I've only taken it to work and on one winter hike. Haven't really battle-tested it yet, i.e. climbing. Works well so far. Works fine w/ gloves on. I'm gonna tape the handle b4 I climb w/ it.
