I wear the jacket as a casual jacket in the fall. The great thing about the jacket is it has the capability to zip into a hard shell and make it a very warm winter coat. The Salathe is a very light and durable jacket that is good for the cool mornings but it can breath enough to keep you cool in the warmer afternoon sun. The only bad part is that it is not water resistant.

I purchased the Salathe jacket as a Christmas gift for my son. The color and the size look great, but he did not actually try it on yet. It appears to be true to size.

Eight are not really enough. More Colors

I only bought two of each that were available. Supremely comfortable. TNf has often made quality gear and this is no exception. Do not dry them very much, however, or they will scar because of their light 100 fabric.....

My husband likes this fleece so much that I got it in every color available. He wears a large, and is not very tall and a bit portly -- somehow this jacket makes him look taller and slimmer. That's the bonus (for me): it performs so well for him that he'd wear it no matter how it looked. Just the right weight for Northern Cal-Bay Area weather year round, except when the wind whips up. He wears it teaching, at the gym, on the golf course. Washes up like new too.

Don't expect a thick fleece jacket to wear by itself..but on a cool day this would be perfect to wear over a long sleeve t-shirt or underneath an outer shell.

Bought 2 of these jackets, 1 med, 1 large. The med was a birthday present. I sent the large back. It was not what I expected and was too big. I am a 42 inch chest.
