Product was easy to use, just wash garments as instructed and dry in dryer. I wore a Timberland shell outside after treatment and rain did bead well. Certainly better, though I'm not sure it's water proof, more resistant.
The 4 coats I treated did change color slightly, to a deeper richer shade of whatever they were. I liked the effect so no complaint just be aware. It's probably the polymer coating changing the fabrics light reflectance.

I used this stuff on my favorite Arc?Teryx ski jacket, and was reasonably disappointed. There was a strong odor, and the effectiveness of the treatment wore off after only one day on the slopes. My jacket wetted out for the rest of the weekend and I was cold and pretty disappointed.

If you can use the washing machine and the dryer, it's easy to renew the waterproofing in your Gore-Tex or other similar fabric.
I've used this three years a row on my Gore-Tex because it works!
