First use at T. Meadows: hardly noticed it the whole climb either day. Adjusted it before the 1st pitch and forgot about it.

Delivery was on time, and everything was ship shape.

Awesome head protection. Made from hard plastic not from cheap foam with a thin layer of plastic.

I've purchased my second helmet of this brand. The first one held up to years of use only to succumb to the gnawings of a marmot on top of a 14er. It's very adjustable for any situation and can easily accomodate bare head or a hat. The only thing I don't care for is how the airholes in the helmet seem to make any wind sound stronger (the holes make a whistling noise that can make it hard to hear your partner).

Yes, I agree that this is a great helmet. I have used it for rock climbing and caving. Even with its light weight and air flow it is a very durable and can take a lot of abuse.

I USED THIS HELMET ON SIMPLE ROCK WALLS TO ZIP LINES TO ICE CLIMBING IT IS VERY VERSITILE AND EASY TO ADJUST TO A PERFECT FIT. IT EVEN HOLDS HEADLAMPS UNDER THE GREY THINGS FOR MIDNIGHT CLIMBS. KEEPS YOUR HEAD DRY TOO.

Best helmet I ever used
By PhilVerified Reviewer from Arizona on 5/29/2006
Pros:
Comfortable, all day, Highly Adjustable, Rugged

I used my Ecrin Roc helmet for the first time yesterday in AZ. I was so suprised at how my head did not get hot like helmets I have used before. I am usually sweating constantly from my head but with the Ecrin Roc I was comfortable all day wearing the helmet, even while sitting down and talking in between climbs.

The best in comfort and fully adjustable. It can be worn by anyone and fitted to your head with just the turn of the wheel(s).

If you are going to buy one helmet, this is the one to choose for yourself or a loved one.

Remember if the helmet is not comfortable, you will not wear it. This is the most comfortable helmet I have found. Even my wife says it is comfortable.

The classic is still the best
By redpoint73 from Boston, MA on 1/27/2006
Pros:
Highly Adjustable, Rugged

The most durable option for rock and alpine climbing. You will find lighter designs, but they will be much less durable. If you only buy one helmet to do everything, this is the one to buy. You will likely die before it does.

Nicely fitting, with many adjustments.

For ice climbing durability, this is THE helmet to have.
