These ice walkers are not good. I live in the frozen north where many of us use ice walkers daily. Last year I bought the regular version which lasted maybe a week, this year I was fool enough to be taken in by the word PRO. Both pairs have fallen apart very quickly. The springs break and rust. Better to buy ice walkers with cleats or studs. They last.
I own 2 self serve car washes. These are perfect for the ice patch you don't expect. I even drive with them on my boots without a problem. They are find on dry concrete, but slippery on inside floors (IE tile in the c-store). I don't have experience with the backcountry use, but I would recommend for bad weather when walking to school work ect.
Overall pretty good so long as the ice isn't too hard. Good for winter running however not as durable as I had hoped. Need two pair to get through one winter
