Great bargain for beginners
By Climbing newbieVerified Reviewer from Chattanooga, TN on 5/14/2006
Pros:
Comfortable, Good grip
Best Uses:
Casual

Bought these on sale and they have turned out to be a real bargain. As a beginning top-rope climber, they have been fantastic on 5.8-5.11 climbs. They are really comfortable during climbing but pinch on the outsides of the feet, just below the ankle when walking around and belaying. The solution? Just wear them for climbing!

Recommended purchase for climbers on a tight budget.

solid shoe, lots of wall time
By Climb on!Verified Purchaser from Louisville, KY on 5/1/2006
Pros:
Comfortable
Cons:
not enough edge, Too rigid
Best Uses:
Casual, Climbing Gym

Very solid. Tight on the sides. A little too rounded on the front and insided front. Somewhat bulky. Good secondary shoe for gym climbing.

Good Shoes
By Shutupandbelay from Colorado on 4/12/2006
Pros:
Good edging, Not too stiff, Softens with use, Stretches to fit
Cons:
Not as sticky as 5.10, Not so cumfy
Best Uses:
All climbing esp. trad

Perform well in all but the most technical situations. Size small, they stretch. Some delamination and sub par construction compared to other Sportivas
