I just got these on sale for [$] and they are probably the best shoes I've used thus far for bouldering. I bought a pair of the Solutions a few months back, and they were almost 4x the cost, and they perform at about the same level as the loco... If the loco had a more rugged version of the lace system that the Solution has, then it would be the best bouldering shoe of all time... hands down... no questions asked. Beeyahhh!

A really tight fitting shoe.. took a bit to get used to. It's great for cracks, heel hooks, and edging. These were my first try at Mad Rocks and I gotta say I was disappointed with the rubber, it started to come off after maybe less than 6 months of wearing them. Compare that to my 5.10's that I've had for three years, still going strong. I got the Loco's resoled with C4 instead, it's so much better.

These shoes are TIGHT. MadRock tells the buyer on-site that the shoes run a half to a full size smaller, and to buy up from what is normally worn.
My regular shoes (Phoenixes) are comfortable, a little looser than I would like, so I only went a half size up. They are TIGHT, but it's manageable. A user would definitely want to give the feet time to rest when not actually on a wall when wearing the Locos.
Regular climbing, one would be better off with a different shoe. Bouldering and hitting negative slopes, where the aggressive toe would be best used, they're great, fantastic even, especially for the price.
When taking the shoes off and putting them back on, they can be a bit difficult if the foot is sweaty, but otherwise, GREAT shoes, particularly for indoor climbing on 30*+ walls.

I just don't know

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I bought the shoe and had to reorder like most people cause it did not fit the other shoe sizes offered by the same company. It is great for people with flat feet by alleviating pain from poor arch. Also started stretching rather quick to a larger size and now must be worn with a sock just to have a snug fit.

Cons:
sizing was terrible
Best Uses:
Don't know

The sizing of the Loco versus a previous Madrock shoe I owned (Flash) was completely awful. Basing the Loco purchase on my Flash shoes, the Loco was way off despite being from the same company.
