these are good gaiters. i use them for snowshoeing through hiking on those rainy days. the only thing that i found was that water seems to get up under the bottom of them.

The Ascent Gaiters by Mountain Hardwear were the perfect fit for my climbing styles, requirements and my budget. Right out of the box they fit like a glove and performed as expected. I really like the wide velcro front closure, the tight stitching and the durable, adjustable and replacable urethane-coated strap. The only drawback might be that I choe the non-vented style, but that was my choice and I can not complain. Climb on!
