these lightweight, inexpensive mini gaitors keep leaves, pine needles, pebbles out of your boots while hiking. they're a must for bpacking...i don't leave home without them! my only complaint is there are no loops on my boots to connect them to, but with the velcro back and connecting one loop to my laces in front, they stay in place.
