Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Used it during a recent trip to CO: got up to 12,000 ft in snow storm wearing the gaitor, which you can pull up to cover nose and cheeks. Very convenient if you need to drink all the time (head masks leave a hole for nose only!). It is not windproof, so don't wear at really low t-res!
