I've had two pairs of these shoes and I'm about to buy my third. I'm dissappointed they are not gonna make them anymore. This shoe is the most comfortable shoe I've worn. I can do anything in them! Trail running to backpacking around Europe for 3 monthes. They never gave me any discomfort and kept my feet try in rain and small puddles. They breathe excellent. Only con is that the sole does not last forever, both pairs I've had lasted about 7 monthes before the grey part on the sole started to peel off. They are still wearable even after that peels off, however. Great lacing system!! Fits a narrow foot well!!

Best Uses:

This shoe works for me - excellent traction, support and stability. I like the wide base, they are easy on and off, and the fit is perfect for my mid volume foot. Very good for approach, trail, running, and medium weight backpacking. The soles leave skid marks so take them off inside, but that is a fair trade for the stickyness. They don't last for ever - but I use them hard. Please continue with this shoe!

I really like but...
By DarylVerified Reviewer from Atlanta, GA on 2/17/2006
Pros:
Comfortable, Good arch support, Good cushioning, Non-slip sole, Stable
Cons:
Poorly made
Best Uses:
Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Wet weather

very comfortable and great for slippery surfaces but indoors it's sticky sole leaves marks, especially when new. The sole is made in two parts: the main black and a grey inlay part that runs the length of the sole. I've had two pairs of these and the second pair's inlay part, of one of the shoes, came off after less than a year. More of a design flaw rather than a workmanship issue?
