I took these out for a pretty tough trip with lots of elevation gain and loss throughout, and although my feet are blistered and tore up, these boots held up and allowed absolutely no moisture from the elements in, including rain, running creeks, snow...great for wet weather. Besides the lingering foot pain, these boots are very stable and are surprisingly comfortable.

Some say these require no break-in, but I will have to disagree. At least allow two weeks to break them in, it will feel much better on your feet.

As with most leathers, these do not breath very well, if you have sweaty feet make sure to either wear a sock liner or put some foot powder inside your socks to help absorb the moisture from sweat.

Soon to be taking these out again on another tough trip, and I'll probably be on the safe side and wear sock liners with foot powder.

Overall a pretty hardy boot that's great for the elements and tough hikes.

I have searched the lands far and wide (no pun intended) for a pair of boots wide enough to fit my 12 4E width feet. These boots have absolutely everything i could hope for right out of the box. While they look really beefy and hard to break in, they were surprisingly forgiving right out of the box and honestly required almost no break in.
They look great, I love the all black, all leather and get compliments on them every time i wear them. I deliberatly seek out every puddle i can find on the trail and have yet to get even a drop of water in these boots.
Overall, this is seriously my boot dreams come true at last. Thanks!
